Pollution Prevention Week is nationally celebrated annually in September and my company is celebrating with a Global Potluck Lunch on Tuesday, September 18. Employees are encouraged to bring in an ethnic dish to pass and stay in at lunch to represent a global focus and to save on vehicle emissions. One of the project team members told us that almost a quarter of the annual US emissions of carbon dioxide, the primary global-warming gas, is produced by motor vehicles. Through this project, we will encourage employees to do their part and help the environment during their lunch hour.
